Register Committee results
The Register Committee (RC) convened online on 26 and 27 November to discuss applications, substantive changes, the revision of the Use and Interpretation of the ESG & the revision of the ESG themselves. The Committee found the following agencies operating in substantial compliance with the ESG: 
- AQUIB - Balearic Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (initial application)

ACCUA - Agency for Scientific and University Quality of Andalusia (renewal application)

DEQAR milestone
With the many developments within EQAR this year, a major achievement has almost gone unnoticed! DEQAR reached 100.000 reports, uploaded by 56 EQAR-registered agencies.
DEQAR is the Database of External Quality Assurance Results on activities performed by EQAR-registered quality assurance agencies and was launched in 2018. DEQAR not only collects the agencies' reports and decisions but also helps to understand the reports in their context by describing the national quality assurance frameworks of the European Higher Education Area countries. 
While it is, as yet, unsettled whether DEQAR is still a database or has now become a data lake or data warehouse (which sounds all very grand), we are just very pleased that DEQAR has grown from zero to 100 000 in six years.
Setting up DEQAR was a considerable job, maintaining the database and constantly improving it has been, and still is, a significant job (thank you team DEQAR), but the database would still be empty if it wasn't for our registered quality assurance agencies. We are thankful for their uploading efforts and enduring commitment.

Season's greetings
As we reflect on an eventful year in which a lot was accomplished, despite the challenges we faced, we're very pleased to have ended on a high note.
We're looking forward to the holiday season and to continuing to build on our relationships with our valued members, agencies, committee members and stakeholders, fostering a spirit of collaboration and mutual support that will propel us into 2025.
We wish everyone a relaxing and restorative holiday season, and above all, a happy, healthy, and harmonious New Year!
